REMEMBERING BISHOP ROBERT ROSE

ALUMNI SHARE THEIR MEMORIES
Robert J. Rose, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, passed away at the age of 92 on March 2, 2022.

He began his formation for the priesthood at St. Joseph’s Seminary, where he completed high school and junior college in1950. As a member of the faculty from 1956 to 1971, he taught religion, Latin, Greek (classical and New Testament), French and music (chant). From 1969 to 1971, he served as the first director of Christopher House.

He helped shape the lives of many young men who have many memories of his impact on their lives.
