2018 Reunion

Almost 100 alumni from St. Joe’s and Christopher House attended an all-class reunion on August 10, 2018 at SS. Peter and Paul Parish Center in Grand Rapids.

Here are a few photos of the get-together.  Have some to share?  Send them to StJoeMemories@gmail.com

Following the reunion, Msgr. Terrence Stewart arranged for a self-guided tour of the main seminary building.  The building and grounds had fallen into disrepair when Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology, its last owner, could no longer afford to operate the charter school.

Samaritas, formerly known as Lutheran Social Services, has been awarded a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to redevelop the facility into 52-unit affordable housing complex for seniors.

Here are two views of the chapel showing its last renovation when the property was sold to Rev. Sapp. They left it as it was except for the removal of the altar.
